Volunteers Needed, Experience not required!

AYSO Coaches - Parents - Volunteers

I hope everyone has  had a great and safe winter.  I truly appreciate  everything you've all done as volunteers for your kids and for our program.  As you all know  the spring season is nearly upon us. Some of you may or may not know this, but our annual Section meeting is coming up soon, March 20-22.This meeting consists of all the regions within Section 3 , pretty much all of New England. During these meetings we discuss Regional Compliance, goals, and the future of AYSO. Besides the normal checks and balances, these meetings offer a great value and a wealth of knowledge to attendees who were not just RC's,  but volunteers themselves; ranging from coaches, board members, referees , and all other registered volunteers. As Regional Commissioner it is my responsibility to adhere, implement, and abide by our National Guidelines and policies. In doing so, there are areas within our region that are not up to standard and that need to be addressed.

Being part of AYSO is staying true to our mission statement and abiding by our 6 core philosophies. In doing so,  there are areas of coaching (age appropriate training) that need to be addressed, board member positions (filling empty spots, missing 3 out 7 ) also that need to be appointed, and recruiting more volunteers for the younger age levels.

I , we, cannot provide our children the most and best possible opportunities with a few people making the decisions in our Region. I am reaching out to all of you to look further into helping us grow and to maintain a level that is consistent with our National  Policies. In turn, the Region is in danger of being shut down for the Fall 15/Spring16 season. If things don't change and if we continue to run the region on bare bones, we will have no other choice.

The following Board Positions need to be filled and/or replaced :
Registrar
CVPA
Referee Admi

If anyone has any question please feel free to reach out to me at any time. We will be setting up a coaches meeting soon before the season starts.Coaches Training April 10,11,12 for those who need it,all coaches need to be age appropriate trained before the season starts, No exceptions*.

Teams without proper coaching will have games/season cancelled until coaching training has been completed. As harsh as this sounds, this is not only coming from me but also from National and the Area Director who are passing this down to all Regions that are not in compliance.
Hopefully, if we all work together this won't be an issue for MOUNT KISCO AYSO.

Again , thank you all and feel free to reach out to me. Remember, Training is free and experience is not required!
